Situated on the edge of 5 acres of forest between Acadia National Park and downtown Southwest Harbor, this cozy cabin is ideal for a weekend trip or a longer stay on beautiful Mount Desert Island. Enjoy your morning coffee on porch before heading out for a hike around Long Pond, a swim at Echo Lake, or a walk into town for the weekly Farmer’s Market, shops and restaurants - all a mile or less away! End your day around the outdoor fire pit, roasting marshmallows or enjoying an evening cocktail.

Peaceful & pet friendly acre near Acadia in natural, wooded setting. Fast WiFi, view to Ripples Pond (a wildlife sanctuary), & fenced in backyard. Big 1 bed cottage has comfy King mattress + 2 sleeper futons. The Cabin (only open May 1-Oct 31) has kitchenette, bathroom & Queen bed. A backyard path to hammock & chill spot by Ripples (view only, but 1/2 mile away is Long Pond for swimming, canoe/kayak rental). Grill. Firepit. Tranquility! Our rustic lakefront cabin is on beautiful crystal clear Beech Hill Pond near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Maine. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and is suitable for 1 to 4 guests. It is furnished with the amenities listed as well as a dock, swimming float, fire pit with firewood, gas grill, and table and chairs. Enjoy the peacefulness from the screened in porch which overlooks the lake after a day of hiking in Acadia National Park. You will hear the call of the loons while relaxing.

The Seamist Cottage - Converted Historic Barn

Cozy, fully converted historic barn within easy walking distance to the rocky shore of Bass Harbor, a busy lobstering port. An ideal, pet friendly, home base while exploring Acadia National Park. The Seamist is located on "the quietside" of the island. Six minutes from Southwest Harbor and thirty minutes to Bar Harbor, the Seamist also offers guests private hot tub access! Two guests maximum, not a suitable space for children. Please keep allergies in mind when booking. No smoking.

Drop Anchor is a 2 bedroom spacious residential home on the “Quietside” of Mount Desert island. You will be 5 minutes from Acadia National park. Bass Harbor headlight, Ship Harbor, Wonderland, and Seawall picnic area. Bar harbor is a 20 minute drive. Nearby is Archies lobster pound, Hansen’s seaside takeout (both walkable) and by car Thurstons lobster pound. And Seafood ketch. There are many other options in the neighboring town of Southwest Harbor.

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.
