Be lulled to sleep by the peaceful river under the stars of a beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain view. We love the island feeling it has with a little log waterfall and a lot of natural sand between our toes. We can provide new queen air mattress for A frame, up to 4 hammocks, or feel free to bring your own, a tent, a small camper, etc. The road in is relatively flat, but is natural ground. A primitive outhouse is on site as well as a gas grill and firewood. Dogs are welcome if picked up after.

Blue Ridge Parkway 1 1/2 miles away, eateries and Shatley Springs nearby. Jefferson and West Jefferson 15 to 20 minutes away. New River State Park 10 minutes away. Winery minute away. Charming, updated farmhouse built in 1910 on 2.5 acres with a pond in the front, two streams and a Christmas tree farm in the back. Less than a mile off the parkway and 15 minutes from New River Outfitters, who provide float trips down the New. Excellent trails within a 5 minute drive. Or just hang out at the house and enjoy the peaceful scenery from the front porch or deck. There is also a winery a couple minutes down the road. Perfect spot for hikers, motorcyclists, kayakers and tubers.

A wrap around porch to rock away the time and fire-pit for s'mores, and a rear covered porch with gas grill. Open parking for 3-4 vehicles and situated on a publicly maintained asphalt road.

Completely re-varnished with gorgeous new color exterior both on the chalet and decks. Ring the bell on the porch and Feed the deer as they come right into the backyard on a nightly basis. The chalet fits perfectly from couples to multiple families or even just the solo adventurous traveler. There is a two-night minimum. On all major holidays there is a three-night minimum.
