The Guest House

WE DO NOT HAVE CABLE TV. UP A FLIGHT of STAIRS is a spacious apartment next to The Historic Masonic Theatre in the center of town. The building is built above Smith Creek and the comforting sound will lull you to sleep. The mattresses are comfy pillow tops and we have plenty of seating. You will be within walking distance of many restaurants and stores. Unfortunately this listing is not handicapped accessible due to the stairs and if you have any allergies be aware we allow guests to have dogs.

Our home has recently been completely remodeled and furnished to accommodate 8 people, with four bedrooms and two baths.

Set in the beautiful Alleghany Mountain Range, the Cabin On The Creek is a custom-built luxury cabin with amazing views and access to Potts Creek on a private wooded property. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

Escape to a serene cabin to watch the sun rise over the mountain from a screened-in porch or sleep in and have a river beach picnic later. Kayak, canoe, swim, hike, watch wildlife or just use River's Bend Cabin as your base station for many other recreational activities in the area. The back deck curling to the edge of the bluff over the river is sure to provide marvelous memories of a romantic sunset or family celebration. Charming, secluded cabin on 11 acres, surrounded by mountains and a creek. Long, private driveway with privacy gate. Huge yard! Perfect for the kiddos and pups! Enjoy coffee on either front or back porch or in front of the fireplace. Make s’mores and conversation at the fire pit! Enjoy all the night sounds, including the gentle creek. The kids will love the lightning bugs and star gazing! Have fun in the game room playing ping-pong table,shuffleboard… or just hanging out!

Cowpasture River front cottage on a 350 acre farm.

Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath guest house sleeps four looking over the Cowpasture River on a 350 acre working farm. Guest may use of our concrete tennis court and explore miles of hiking trails that lead to the national forest. Farm is surrounded by over 2.5 miles of the Cowpasture River. There is a gravel beach right beside the bridge entering the farm where one can enjoy wading and swimming. River here is 3-4 feet deep depending on the season and stream flow.

Rendezvous at Rhonda's View!! Enjoy your morning coffee and evening beverage while sitting on the deck or screened-in porch overlooking the Cowpasture River. It is truly a special place of serenity. Geese, heron, and an occasional eagle fly along the river valley. Beaverdam Falls, Earlehurst Cottage

Built for $500.00 dollars "back-in-the-day," the Earlehurst Cottage was inhabited by The Carters, a humble, cute old country couple. Here, they raised two daughters. Today, the house is tastefully appointed where expected - & comfortable to modern standards - yet, it has been left as charming, rustic & cozy as it had always been: with elements of the original decor, windows, plaster walls, etc., being preserved. Pets stay for free!
