You will enjoy short drives to the Oregon coast, mountain hikes, wine tasting, local u-pick market farms and more. We are conventional grass seed and hazelnut farmers who live next door and farm on the property. This home is nestled in a mature hazelnut orchard further surrounded by grass fields. Welcome to the Fir Country Cottage, located in the heart of Philomath, OR! Our charming cottage was built in 1945 and has views of Marys Peak and the beautiful surrounding fir country. Stepping out the front door, you are within walking distance to restaurants, breweries, shopping, coffee shops, Philomath Schools, churches, the local library, museum and much more! Less than 10 minutes to Oregon State University and Reser Stadium. Under an hour to Marys Peak and the Oregon coast!

We are located 2 miles from the entrance to the Mary's Peak recreation area, the highest spot in the coast range. During winter, there is usually access to snow, only a 15 minute drive from our cabin to the top of Mary's Peak. Alsea Falls is a 25 minute drive. The coastal town of Waldport is a 45 minute drive, Oregon State University is a 20 minute drive away, and University of Oregon is 1 hour south of us. Cabin is on our private property where we live as well.

Blue Pearl, a place to pause and take a breath

The Blue Pearl is calling. 1946 coastal cottage nestled just above basalt rocks offers you a relaxing place to take in the sites and sounds of the crashing waves. Located next to the 804 walking coastal trail and also the Amanda trail leading to the Amanda Grotto and Cape Pepetua. Cottage is located on the south end of Yachats and a short distance to sandy the sandy beach at Yachats Bay.

The Carriage House at Dragons Cove

Under a spell of centuries of wind and waves, Cape Perpetua awaits. Here you'll find The Carriage House, an enchanted cottage with views of tiny Dragons Cove, Laughing Gull Island, and the majestic Perpetua headland, highest point on the Oregon coast. It's hard to imagine a more pristine oceanfront setting. Two dozen harbor seals congregate and birth their young on the island.

Sheepherder Camper at Blakesley Creek Farm

This is a working farm. Expect to see & hear the sheep, chickens & dogs throughout your stay. This wagon has a canvas top, but is insulated. It has a regular twin bed, but no headroom for taller guests. Bedding, towels, electricity, space heater, wifi and access to bathroom & kitchenette are included For a larger space, book Wagon 1, 2 or 3.
