It is set in beautiful mature gardens and a cider orchard. Guest can walk from the garden to the famous River Severn. Awre is close to the Forest of Dean in easy reach of Cheltenham and Cotswolds. A perfect place for those who appreciate peace, beauty, the countryside, being active or relaxing, seeing huge skies, birds and wild life.

The Forest Hide is a tranquil and secluded space situated in the heart of the ancient Forest of Dean, perfect for couples and small families wishing to escape into nature across your very own private bridge into the forest. The space offers open plan living and a wood-burning stove that would be perfect for a chilly evening with a private patio to enjoy in the warmer months. The Forest Hide's central location serves as a perfect base for many walks, biking routes and other nearby excursions.

The Garden House is a peaceful stone cottage set in the historic gardens of High Glanau Manor, the home of H. Avray Tipping (1855-1933) the Architectural Editor of Country Life Magazine from 1907. High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. The gardens retain many original features including formal terraces, octagonal pool, glasshouse, pergola and 100 ft long double herbaceous borders. There are spectacular views to the Brecon Beacons

This property offers a peaceful and relaxing holiday. we have a local shop in the village run by local volunteers offering a good friendly service with an array of local produce. Next to the shop is the village recreation ground with a designated play area suitable for a game of football or even a picnic. The local Old Fox pub and restaurant is a 5 minute walk from the cottage , a very popular place to eat and it would be advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
