Independence Lodge is a unique property in the forest, 2 miles from the Clarion River and 4 miles from Cook Forest State Park! This is an off-grid type experience for adventure seekers and nature lovers. Who needs WiFi or indoor plumbing when you have majestic pine forest and the spirit of adventure?! Reconnect to nature w/ a hot outdoor shower and heated outhouse. Warm up next to the indoor propane fireplace. Cabin has cell service, kitchenette, electric & well water plus water cooler.

We're also less than 30 minutes from Clear Creek State Park and Cooks Forest. You can walk to a grocery store, gas station and the Post Office. There's a laundromat nearby.

During the winter months we highly recommend using vehicles with 4WD/AWD to access the property.

Relax and unwind in our custom built family cabin. Privately owned on 2 acres. Offers beautiful wooded views. Located approximately 1.5 miles from Cook Forest State Park and many local amenities. Cook Forest offers many hiking trails to be explored as well as The Fire Tower. The nearby Clarion River offers canoeing, kayaking, tubing and fishing (PA fishing license required). Also close to The Allegheny National Forest. (14.5 mi. to the Park Office)
