Our comfortable 2 bedroom apartment has the perfect location at the edge of the old town - close enough that all the city is right on your doorstep (4 mins walk to the cathedral & city hall). It has a gorgeous terrace that catches the morning sun, wifi, central heating & a smart TV. There's no elevator but it's only half a flight of stairs (8 steps) from street level. Although the apartment does not have an elevator, it's just one short flight of stairs (9 steps) from the street level. PARKING: We have a parking space available for free for guest use, located a 3 minute walk away from the apartment. We have a large parking space (fits even vans) available for free for guest use just a 3 minute walk from the apartment. One of the bedrooms contains a large queen-sized bed (160x200cm) and looks out onto a green park area and olive tree. The morning sun really streams into this bedroom and it's lovely to wake up to, but there are also inbuilt roller blinds on the outside of the window which keep the room perfectly dark until you're ready to get woken by that sun! The second bedroom contains 2 single beds (80x190cm) which can be pushed together to make a queen bed, and also has roller blinds on the windows. Both bedrooms contain large wardrobes and desk areas. The apartment is very quiet - with the view out onto the green park you almost feel like you're out in the country, belying the fact that just across the road you are right in the heart of the old town - you're also just enough away from the noisy central city bars and restaurants to get a good nights sleep! The open plan kitchen and lounge area opens up onto the cute and comfortable terrace area - there's seating for up to 4 people both out on the terrace as well as around the kitchen island. There's free wifi and the TV is a 43" smart TV with access to internet; Netflix, youtube. If you have your own Netflix account you can log onto that, otherwise you are welcome to use ours. For winter guests the apartment is cosy and snug with central heating controlled by a thermostat inside the apartment so guests can control the desired temperature easily. There is a washing machine in the bathroom, and there's a washing line outside the main bedroom window to hang your laundry out to dry. We also have drying racks which can be put up inside the apartment to dry laundry inside if necessary. The kitchen is another room where the morning sun just streams in; it is fully equipped and contains an oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and electric cook top. CHECK-IN: Check-in between 4pm* - 10pm AT THE LATEST. (*however you can still drop off your bags and pick up the keys if you arrive between 12-4pm). Please let us know your arrival time as soon as possible and with as much accuracy as possible. We are very responsable hosts and if you tell us a time we will be at home waiting - inacurrate arrival estimates can sometimes mess up an entire afternoon for us so we appreciate if you treat our time with as much consideration as we treat yours. *WE DON'T ACCEPT ARRIVALS AFTER 10pm, however if something UNFORSEEN happens on the day to make you late, late arrivals after 10pm incur a €30 fee.

Ca Xuacu, La antojana

Ca Xuacu is a set of four rural apartment in Asturias, one of them is "La Antojana". We have a near beach (400 m away), private parking, internet access, garden of 4000m2 and Paddle court. History of Ca Xuacu. In the end of XVIII century a country family establish in this land. They had some money saved from their years of work in Cuba and Latin America, with this money they built a very grand looking country house. It had stable in the first floor and people lived and met in the second floor, this structure show the great economy of this family in this times, they had a high status house. In the 1900, the new west wing was constructed. They built a new kitchen and new living room bigger than the old living room. Also in this time they construct a "panera" (typical Asturian construction), under it, they had a forge and later a stable for little animals (rabbits, chickens...) In 2000 Jose Luis, recognizing the value of this construction, starts the reconstruction to build the four apartments. All the process was made with hard work and keeping the original style of the construction. He works with stone and wood as first materials. Five years before he started, in 2005, the apartments was opened. Now, people that spend their vacations in Ca Xuacu are numerous, and all of them have share experiences with us. El alojamiento se encuentra en una comunidad tradicional de pescadores. El emplazamiento del mismo antiguamente era una conservera y en los años 80 se construyó la comunidad para los pescadores de Cudillero. Actualmente la mayoría se encuentran jubilados pero aun puedes hablar con ellos sobre la mar, historias de pesca y viajes.
