Exclusive use modern barn with stunning views

The barn is exclusive use with own self check in entry. It is an ideal location for the fresh air of the South Downs National Park, country walks, pubs and coastal visits. Alternatively, drive 20 minutes either way to Brighton or Eastbourne for the arts, nightlife or restaurant scenes. This accommodation provides a warm and comfortable welcome providing peace and quiet within a village environment. We are situated near the South Downs which is accessible by bike or car, only a 3 mile drive/ride in country lanes. The opera house Glyndebourne is a short distance, as is Charleston farmhouse, the country home of the Bloomsbury set. Ideally situated for the best of East Sussex. We have a private drive for you to park and separate access to the barn, to allow privacy. There is an area of garden and terrace available for you to enjoy the views. All the accommodation is on one level and assistance to terrace from the garden for wheelchairs will be made available if required. We live in the house north of the barn and will be mostly available to help with local knowledge of trips, attractions and restaurant recommendations. Our local inn The Yew Tree is most welcoming and offers our local ale "Harveys" as well as many of the local artisan brews such as Longman. The house is a three-minute walk from the village store offering homemade foods and local produce, as well as a cafe. The beaches at Seaford and Newhaven are a 15-minute drive away. There are wonderful village pubs all within striking distance. Berwick station is only 2.5 miles away with trains going to London, Gatwick, Brighton and Eastbourne. The airport LGW London Gatwick is a 45 minute drive away, LHR London Heathrow 1hr 15 minutes approx. The public transport is limited and we would recommend you use a taxi if you do not have a car. The barn has extensive views, including the bedroom which has a wonderful view across the gardens. The barn adjoins a large green field which is grown for meadow hay. The sunsets behind the ancient saxon burial mound known as Mount Caburn. The burning sky sunsets are the best!

The Cabin is a two story shipping container home with enormous picture windows bringing the outside in. A free cooking fire pit in the woods. Hampers are avalable as optional extras. The book "playing it by ear" is avalable at all good independent bookshops. The optional extra of a wood burning hottub **(£85 with bag of logs)**

Jacks Cottage -

A beautiful oak framed building with great views of the south downs. Accommodation comprising of a comfortable lounge with TV and wifi and log burner. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, oven and microwave. One double bedroom downstairs with en suite shower room. Upstairs there is a mezzanine with two single beds and a sitting area above the lounge area with a bathroom with free standing bath. The outside space is a south facing patio with table and chairs and a BBQ is available.

An easy ride from London, Lewes and Brighton, it's ideal for quick escapes, romantic breaks, poetic inspiration or combining city/culture with rural retreating. Great pubs, walks, the Downs, Glyndebourne, Charleston, Firle, Farley Farm all approx. 10 mins. Designed as a creative workspace, there's no TV but good WiFi: no streetlights, lots of stars.

Our new, beautifully crafted hut / tiny home has lovely views over the adjoining fields with stunning walks on the doorstep. A short walk across fields to the famous Six Bells pub with excellent beer, food and music and a short drive to Glyndebourne Fully equipped with shower, loo and cooking facilities. Garden furniture, BBQ and fire pit and private parking provided. Fitted with a vinyl record player so bring your records. Please note you are not in your own field but the location is private.

With everything you could need for a short stay and plenty of beautiful walks nearby, dogs are welcome and enjoying some golf is optional at our beautiful 18 hole course and driving range. Soak in the free standing tub whilst admiring the views, or relax on the deck and watch the sunset. 2 minute woodland walk to access.

We have a driveway which has space for two cars directly outside. *Please note our place is NOT suitable for children.

The Cart Lodge a cosy rural hideaway

Situated in a secluded part of our 16th century farm, this detached, south facing cart barn has been converted to a very high standard. In an ideal location overlooking a large duck pond and with distant views to the South Downs. It is a great base for walking the Wealdway or cycling the Cuckoo Trail. Places to explore include Lewes and Eastbourne, 9 miles. Glyndebourne 6 miles. An excellent pub and restaurant is within a ten minute walk along country footpaths. The village shop 2 miles.

Adjoining historic Heathfield Park, surrounded by woodland & wildlife. This detached, self-contained Annex in the grounds of our home. The space has been transformed into a cosy woodland retreat flooded with natural light. It has a secure private entrance & ample off-street parking. The lounge has a wood burning stove stocked with logs from our garden. The accommodation is ideal for a family of 4 or 2 couples, the bedroom has a kingsize bed and there's a kingsize sofa bed in the lounge.
