GPS may try to take you long way. Enjoy the sunset from the hot tub, dine outside under the tree canopy, cozy up by the fireplace or enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch swing. Watch the sun go down while sitting in the hot tub or while grilling on the upper deck. Then retreat down to the fenced in yard and make smores while sitting around the fire pit. While Hurricane Helene shifted the landscape of our sweet village, we are seeing significant progress each day in the town's rebuild, shops and restaurants are now open. The cabin has no damage.

After Hurricane Helene swept through and left the area devastated, we’ve worked hard to rebuild our Riverfront Cottage-a cozy, updated retreat just minutes from Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Hendersonville, and Asheville. While the backyard and deck were damaged, they’ve been lovingly restored, and the home is ready once again to welcome guests. Nestled beside a rushing river, this peaceful cabin sleeps four and offers the perfect place to relax, recharge, and support a community rising again.

The Main House, at Mountain Breeze Cabins is Pet Friendly and was designed and hand crafted by your host as a retirement home. From your entry into the Kitchen/Living area you see that the house is full of yellow pine paneling, oak floors, a stone hearth, granite countertops and tile. This design is throughout the cabin and is enhanced with a unique art collection. We show 2 adults as Maximum occupancy ,we welcome children at no additional cost. A Pack n Play and a futon are at the house.

Asheville is only a few minutes away and is home to some of the best restaurants you can find. Arts, crafts, shopping etc. are at your fingertips as well as tons of hiking trails.

We are so excited to welcome guests back! Our cozy cabin is centrally located just above Main Street approximately 0.4 miles to downtown Chimney Rock and 1 mile from Lake Lure beach. This perfect mountain getaway will make you feel right at home with its up to date amenities while still feeling the 1940's charm. You can even get a view of Chimney Rock from the property in the fall/winter!

Please Note: Lake Lure was impacted by Hurricane Helene in Sept 2024. While the area is rebuilding and many businesses are reopening, the lake remains closed. Our cottage continues to host peaceful, restorative stays, but some guests find limited activities. We recommend researching current conditions via local FB groups or the town website to best plan your trip.
