Our contemporary Scottish A-Frame cabin under the stars! The Tower, Thornton Castle

Traditional & relaxed accommodation in the 16th century Scottish tower of our family home. Accessed by a spiral staircase your space comprises 2 bedrooms for 4 people over two floors in a private wing of the castle with bathroom and small sitting room. Full breakfast included. Set in the foothills of the Cairngorm National Park, this is an ideal stop off between Inverness and Edinburgh. Balmoral Castle, Dunnottar Castle, Glamis Castle and St Andrews are nearby. Tennis court available.

Cosy Country Escape in Alford, A Peaceful Retreat

The Byre is a cosy self-catering converted loft located in the peaceful Aberdeenshire countryside, close to the town of Alford. A perfect spot for a relaxed getaway. Our cosy loft sleeps features a comfortable bedroom for two guests, a well equipped kitchen and cosy living area, and has been recently renovated to a high standard throughout. There are fantastic walks & cycling routes to explore right from the doorstep, along with coffee spots, restaurants & local shops a short drive away.

Off-grid shepherds hut with wood fired hot tub

Below a pond and tucked behind a hedgerow on the edge of a permaculture smallholding, our charming shepherds hut is the perfect hideaway for those looking for an eco farm stay or self-made retreat. 'Muggans' (named after the Mugwort that grows by the steps) is entirely off-grid and has everything you'll need for a comfortable and memorable getaway, including a wood burning stove to keep you cozy, a wood fired hot tub to soak in under the stars and pizza oven for luxury campfire cooking.

The Space @ the Creamery - Royal Deeside

Hi, the Creamery is an award-winning wooden single story building on a back lane near the village of Torphins. I converted it a few years ago and it now contains the Space which is the holiday let suite and my studio (available for shared use by inquiry). I have loved doing up the interior to offer a natural modern and eclectic space to relax and unwind with the emphasis on natural. There is also now a lovely courtyard area allowing some private outside space. Pets are welcome.

Couthie Cooshed in the Cairngorms

Lovely holiday cottage in the Cairngorms for two with open plan kitchen living area, cosy sleeping gallery, contemporary shower room and private patio. The Couthie Cooshed is cosy well appointed and is set in a private garden on the edge of fields. This barn is a wonderful place to relax and unwind in the country surrounded by fields and wildlife. We have ancient Caledonian woodlands for you to explore, full of incredible wildlife and a wild swimming pond for those looking for a cold water fix - look us up under cotwild The Shepards hut sleeps 2 adults & 2 children under 12yrs on a sofa bed sleeping bag. 2 well behaved dogs welcome.

Dufftown is 3.5 miles , Keith is 7 miles and the village of Drummuir 1.5 miles

Nochty Studio |Strathdon |Cairngorms National Park

A place to get away, relax and enjoy the natural surroundings! Nochty Studio is a eco cabin located on the edge of the small village of Bellabeg in the Cairngorm National Park, in close proximity to Ballater, Braemar, Royal Deeside and on the edge of Moray. The Studio is on the east side of Glen Nochty enjoying open views of the Nochty River and the Doune of Invernochty. The village itself is a 5 minute walk away, with a local shop.
