As the train rolls by, history that engineered Glacier Park's roots romances enchantment of the pasts rustic essence. The RR winds through tunnels and trestles along the south border of the park and was originally the only way to visit Glacier. Light sleeper could have problem with the train noise. This cozy home is our “Smokey the Bear” cabin. There is a driveway that can fit 2 cars next to the home. “Smokey” is just a 7-minute drive to the main entrance to Glacier Park. The home sleeps 6 adults and 2 kids comfortably. (8 allowed if at least 2 of the guests are young kids.) The home has a covered deck, full-home AC and heating, gas fireplace, back yard with fire pit, desk/work area, and pull-out sofa if needed. 7 miles from the West entrance of Glacier National Park, this is perfect for couples who plan to spend most of their time in Glacier. 12x14 wall tent with a wood-burning stove for chilly nights! 1.5 acres. Private Entrance, all fenced. There is a solar panel to plug in essentials, and a camp stove and fire ring for cooking. We provide a cooler and water. There is an outhouse with a propane-heated shower. Not for light sleepers! The train comes by a couple of times a night.
