The Story House

Between the lights of Portland and the slopes of Mt. Hood stands a whimsical woods of giant firs, feathery cedars and old mossy maples. Midst a maze of paths and ferns is a cozy cabin full of delightful art. Browse the uncommon birdhouses and their stories. Just steps outside the French doors is a lighted path to the bathhouse (the only bathroom) with toilet, shower, clawfoot tub and washer/dryer. Walk the paths, soak in the hot tub and end your day in the peace and quiet of a private cabin.

Enjoy the serene waterfront setting of this cabin with few neighbors, and just minutes off I-5 and 45 minutes from Portland Airport! Remodeled fully-equipped kitchen, large dining tables inside and out. Tons of natural light, gorgeous, restored hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and stone fireplace in main room. Amazing river views from every room. French doors open to the wrap-around deck with private view of the Kalama River. Native plants abound! Fish, swim & relax!

Indulge in a the barrel sauna with panoramic river vista. The cabin is close to endless activities up and around Mt. Hood.

Kalama River Retreat

Fishing, Swimming, Hiking - all available at our lovely mother-in-law cottage located on 6 acres along the Kalama River. Cottage has outdoor deck that spills our onto the river front. Site has multiple river access and walking path. The unit is nicely decorated with living area, dining, bedroom with queen bed and loft with double bed. Property is 4 miles from the town of Kalama where there are multiple restaurants and antique shops. Special events can be hosted at site.

Secluded White Salmon River Cabin

A small, cozy cabin perched above the White Salmon River, just minutes from town. Enjoy the expansive 180 degree views from your private little forest oasis or take advantage of the central location to explore all The Gorge has to offer. We've recently renovated this private retreat to keep our visiting friends and family comfortable.
