Little Vista

You are going to stay in our small but cozy guest house in the middle of the country site in the village of Birdhill. Its a self contained guest house with a kitchen/living room, small double bedroom and bathroom. We are conveniently located only 10 min away from M7 motorway (exit 27), and 20 min away from Limerick City. Shannon airport 40 min drive. Killaloe/ Ballina which is located only 10min drive from our house is one of the most picturesque village attractions with plenty of restaurants.

The Tea House - A countryside retreat with views

The Bird's Nest at Blackthorn Lane

The Bird's Nest is a stone built former cow barn built in the 1700s with a modern second floor. Ideal for walking routes, great local restaurants/pubs and a whole lot of relaxing. Take it easy at this quiet, cosy getaway. Silver Bloom Cabin is a small, peaceful space at the back of our terrace cottage in Kinnitty, surrounded by fields. You can walk or cycle straight from the cabin into the Slieve Bloom Mountains, or take the forest trail to Kinnitty Castle, or even head down to the village for a nice coffee or a visit to local pub. It’s also a handy stopover for travellers exploring the centre of Ireland, or those attending weddings in Birr, Kinnitty, or Tullamore

The Studio in the Sky

From artist studio to guest house, this little building is an ongoing project, with so much to offer. Sitting on higher grounds just behind the main house, it has its own garden with a view to take your breath away. It’s a bit of a rise to get there but totally worth it. If you keep climbing across small fields and a strip of forest, you’ll find yourself on Slievenamon’s mountain trails. Downhill from here lies Kilcash village, pub, church, more forestry and the ruins of an old castle

Situated on a lovely & homely property with lots of space for parking, gated and secure property. Not suitable for parties or large groups.

Less than 20 minutes from Kilkenny city and very close to Ballykeefe amphitheatre. 5 minutes drive to callan.
