If you are looking for a serene location that is nestled in the woods off a quiet country road and only 1 mile from the town square with its locally owned grocery store and gas station, you’ve come to the right spot! We are centrally located between Burke Mtn and Jay Peak resort, both being 30 minutes away and are near several lakes and hiking trails and the Craftsbury Outdoor Ctr. You will be expected to strip your beds, clean up any messes you made and return used items to their original space

Historic House in the Village of Hardwick

Rochester House is near restaurants, trails, family-friendly activities, and lake beaches. It's convenient to many destinations, including, Hill Farmstead, Caspian Lake (beach) and Craftsbury. A short walk to the Farmer's Market, grocery stores, and most village restaurants. Downtown is .7 miles, 15 min walk. This may be too far in winter. There is a city plowed sidewalk all the way during snow season if needed. House of Pizza is only 2 blocks. We are in the village, please respect neighbors.

The Sugar House on Maple Hill Road was once the site of a traditional Sugar House. The post and beams, wooden ceiling boards, 26 foot ceiling enhances the interior beauty. The house sits on 7 acres of woods with a small stream. Stowe Mountain Resort, The Trapp Family Lodge, Smugglers Notch, Long Trail, are just a few of the near by points of interest. Quiet and peaceful surrounded by 10 acres of sunny pasture in the summer and the snowmobile trail / DIY cross country ski trails in the winter. It's a 1/2 hour drive to Stowe Mt. or Smugglers Notch ski resorts and an hour to Jay Peak. Elmore State park is only 2 miles away for hiking and swimming in the lake ! It's a great location for anyone who loves the outdoors, skiing, hiking and also just relaxing.
