The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

Remodeled Water Front Property with beautiful furnishings. There are two bedrooms, two baths, and a large lanai overlooking the canal. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. Walking distance to Chassahowitzka campgrounds, a bait shop, and a bar/restaurant. Fish off the private boat dock: covered parking, bonus lanai room. We have two fishing kayaks available for use. THE OWNER TAKES NO LIABILITY FOR THE USE OF KAYAKS. Country setting, FREE use of the Kayaks and golf cart, or take the kayaks to Rainbow River, my place is on the “Withlacoochee River” so you would put in at the neighborhood ramp and paddle North to get to the Rainbow River. The KP Hole and Rainbow Springs State Park are 10-15 min away. You can bring your own boat, “there is a boat ramp in the neighborhood”, and local ramps in town. Relax by the fire in the evening. Peaceful, quiet and only 10 minutes from town for shopping and dining.

Relax with family and friends at this beautiful property. Enjoy kayaking right from the dock on the property. There is a lovely covered patio where you can enjoy meals cooked in the fully stocked kitchen. There are two bedrooms that are both en-suite. For additional sleeping there is a sleeper sofa in the lounge. We will accommodate Dogs (up to two) but NO CATS... Owner is highly allergic. There is a $75 additional pet fee per stay.
