Ideal for couples, looking to escape the city, and relax in quiet, "country" surroundings. Not ideal for children. You could stroll through the orchards, canoe on the dam, enjoy the summer sun in your own pretty, private garden, or curl up, under eiderdowns in front of a crackling fire, in winter. Heidi's Barn, Franschhoek

Situated on a small holding 5km outside Franschhoek, opposite the exquisite La Motte Wine Estate, Heidi’s Barn offers the perfect self-catering base from which to explore the Winelands. A fire pit, outdoor dining area and a large swimming pool (shared with one other cottage) are perfect for summertime relaxation while an indoor wood-burning fireplace and wooden floors throughout make for a cosy winter escape. The barn runs on mains power with solar back up for load shedding.

Agapanthus cottage sleeps 2 guests with a queen bed and a spacious open plan layout. Complimentary coffee, tea, rusks, fresh herbs and fruit and a bundle of wood to welcome guests. The cottage offers fresh white and green interiors, Wifi, a well appointed kitchen, spacious bathroom with walk in shower and a small lounge that leads to the patio. The covered veranda has outside furniture, a braai pit under the trees and a private parking space.
