Come for a short walk with me in the authentic Parisian Latin district to discover the oldest neighbourhood of Paris and nice shops where I will give you tips to buy spirits. We will then relax at a traditional French bistrot where I will tell you the history of France's best spirits as the prestigious Cognac from north of Bordeaux, the Calvados from Normandy made with apples, the artists elixir prohibited Absinthe, the unique Chartreuse, confidential herbs spirits created by the monks and many others... We will learn how they are made, how to judge about the quality and above all how to taste and enjoy the aromas and flavours with a tasting of 4 spirits. To finish the experience in beauty, I will teach you the art of mixology and prepare for you a great cocktail with one of the spirits we tasted before.
Other things to note
Camera, comfortable shoes and umbrella if is raining. The tour is in english however, I can speak Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian if needed.

It’s rare to find a spirits tasting and this one was great. Lots of interesting facts about spirits in France and some very unique spirits. You definitely need to like spirit to enjoy the tastings since some of them are quite potent. Luis was friendly and passionate connoisseur. Very much recommend this for spirits lover.

My fiancé and I had a great time with Luiz! You can tell he is absolutely passionate about what he does. We loved the history lesson of the Latin Quarter and the history behind the spirits we tasted (Calvados, Cognac, Chartreuse, and Absinthe). Next time we are in Paris we will definitely do one of his excursions to Loire Valley, Champagne, or Burgundy as he was an exceptional host!

Luiz was a very competent and gracious host, who could tell interesting stories about all the liquers we were tasting. I would consider myself as someone who enjoys fine spirits and liquers from different places around the world on occasion and I would say Luiz's selection dipicts the character of French liquer quite well. Further, the short tour around the neighborhood was very informative. I really recommend this experience, if you generally like spirits.

The Paris City Tour thru the oldest section of Paris and the Spirit Tasting in the old Parisian Restaurant was wonderful! The small group, with no lines, or confusion was a welcoming delight. Luiz was a very personable, knowledgeable guide and host to this wonderful event! We stayed in the area to enjoy the shops and have dinner. I would highly recommend this tour!

After days of lines, crowds and audio narration we joined Luis for an intimate tour around the oldest part of Paris. He was very knowledgeable on the history of the city. He was even more knowledgeable about the spirits he explained and shared with us. I highly recommend this tour.
