Madrid is a city with lots of flavor. I think the best way to enjoy the city is by exploring its food markets. These are traditional places where you'll find the freshest fruits, vegetables, meat, and more. I'll take you to local markets where neighbors do their daily shopping, places where tradition remains and where local gastronomic secrets may be discovered. We’ll also visit their small bars, where you'll enjoy amazingly simple and delicious typical Spanish tapas with a glass of excellent wine or beer. We’ll visit three different local food markets located in the central neighborhoods of Madrid. We’ll also explain what can be bought and when. Finally, we’ll share tips, tricks, and the rules of market shopping.
Other things to note
We will have an almost 3 hour walk through 3 local food markets, La Latina and Lavapies neighbourhood. Bring comfy shoes.

Excellent visit to a variety of food markets in different neighborhoods, all well away from the usual tourist traps. Not a selfie stick in sight. Natalia was very friendly and excellent guide and very knowledgeable about local and Spanish food and drink. Lovely relaxing way to spend an afternoon in Madrid and highly recommended.
