Once you book your beach ride, we meet you the day of the ride at our ranch located in Summerland, CA. The beach rides are approx 90 minutes long total. We ride from our ranch through the trails down to the beach, we do cross on the over pass and there is a small section where we ride on a public road. Once we are on the beach we ride along the shore with the fresh air, cool breeze and salt water below our hooves. We then ride back through the trails and road to the ranch where we started.
Other things to note
We do require all riders wear a helmet for safety. Please keep in mind, the ranch is a working ranch, with horses, dogs and our staff, we do have a portable restroom on-site and a picnic table.

I have been a professional horse trainer and rider for over 25 years, training with Olympic trainers from all around the world. I am the owner of Summerland Farms and Summerland Beach Rides. The ranch is small and quaint, we meet you here first! The beach is truly paradise, and the coastal bluffs ride has amazing views, you can experience it all on horseback!
This was a fantastic experience that I’m sure I will do again. I’ve never been in a horse before but Ava made sure to give me quick tips to feel comfortable! The walk on the beach is amazing and we even spotted some dolphins close to shore! 10/10 recommend!

Brought my 7 year old daughter here for a mommy & me surprise date. Everyone was super kind and above all, made me feel like my daughter was in good hands. Owner was very clear in how we were expected to handle the horses and made clear we needed to follow directions. The beach ride was the best part and so amazing for a first time. Would definitely come again!!!

Experience was nice...beautiful views and the horses were pure entertainment, I had a slower female horse who didn’t really like to listen and had some drama with a couple of the other horses but again it was pure comedy nothing scary. Owner was very blunt about racial matters which was uncomfortable being that we were the only black people during our experience but everything else went fine. If you love animals and the beach and great views def take part!

Wow! One of my favorite experiences iv booked so far.
The horses are gentle and very well trained...they knew exactly what to do despite our lack of experience.
Our guide was also great and gave us fun facts about the area, including diversions to orchards and trails that captured the stunning SB scenery perfectly.
Would highly recommend!
