If you love Japanese cuisine, you have tasted Miso and you may be liked it. However, it's not clear what Miso is and how it's made, isn't it? So, let me show you all the technic of homemade Miso with some information to help you understand it deeper.
Firstly I will explain to you about the process and the ingredients and then you will mix all the ingredients to take the Miso back home. You would need 3-12 months to ferment it.
The process takes a while but this experience will be a unique souvenir in the end. The handbook I made and after support by e-mail will guide you through the fermentation process so that you won't suffer after the workshop.
The level of the workshop is from beginners to experts. Please feel free to ask me any questions about Miso.

Hi :) I call myself Travelling Fermenter, who have now been travelling and teaching about homemade Miso for the last several years.
The 1st time I ever made homemade Miso was in 2011. I didn’t expect the homemade Miso to taste so good. The taste was not only salty but a bit sweet and full of Umami. I was really thrilled because it had a richer taste than the miso you can buy on the market. This first experience encouraged me to organize Miso workshops from Norway to NewZealand.

I can say I was truly delighted of being introduced at this fantastic miso fermentation universe by Akane ,so you can notice by first hand that she is a person who really loves her job and without a doubt she knows how to handle a class !! in fact ,I haven’t know that much about this subject,so she made all easier for me in order to get closer and feel selfconfident working with miso for my very first time ! But Akane-san guides you through with detailed step-by-step instruction with photos as well as easy-to-understand explanations. She explains how and why miso is prepared the way it is. You'll learn to appreciate miso and fermented slow food. You get to take a break from instand-everything busy life and get a taste of the old-time zen foodmaking and its stories.
