I got my start in the music industry as merely an observer. The tour was born out of the interest to provide an alternative for visitors to the island. We at Kingston Guided help to tell the story of Jamaica through its music forms. Our publication 'Backayard Magazine' is currently the only Jamaican magazine dedicated solely to reggae and dancehall music and the culture that surrounds it. The tour allows the group to not only create revenue for the venues and on site workers but also to gain attention for these historical places which they are hoping could lead to each site being protected

One of the few public green spaces left in Kingston and is also curated as a national heritage site. The surrounding grounds hold several world class eateries such as The Grog Shoppe, Norma’s on Terrace and Devon House Bakery. Devon House was also selected “4th Best Place in the World” to enjoy ice cream by National Geographic’s ‘Food Journeys of a Lifetime’ publication in 2011.
