This little cabin in the woods is a wonderful place to get away from it all. Tucked away in a back meadow of our farm, hidden in the trees, you’ll love the cozy bed in the loft and privacy. It is a rustic, comfortable experience. No running water or electricity; we supply plenty of water and battery powered lanterns for you. The outhouse is close to the cabin, an outdoor shower near the farmhouse. Fresh organic sheets, wool blankets and linen down comforter make for a great sleeping place

Solar lights, (we are off the grid) gravity fed kitchen water, gas-hot water outdoor shower, outhouse overlooking the forest. Hiking trails everywhere! Swimming across the road on Hobbs Pond. If you book in November, there is a possibility that if it gets cold, you will not have a hot outdoor shower and will use water from a 5 gallon ceramic container for drinking and cooking.

Winter or summer, the Little River Retreat will help you step away from the world - but still be minutes from Reid State Park, Five Islands Lobster, the Georgetown General Store, and the rugged beauty of Midcoast Maine. This is our family camp, with our own books, games, and “vibe”. It is not a hotel, and some things may not be “industry standard”. Walk down to the edge of the ocean to lounge or picnic. Walk 6 minutes or drive the 0.1 miles to the park entrance. Hike the Little River Trail. The house has vaulted ceilings, panoramic views, fully equipped kitchen, and whirlpool bath.
