#6 Desert Moon Southwest Room

The historic Desert Moon Inn was built in 1936 as a boarding house for miners. We are more like a hostel than a typical hotel, with 6 private rooms that share 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette. Besides being a spot for travelers and adventures, this building once served as a brothel. Located in the ghost town of Thompson Springs, Utah, just off I-70, the Desert Moon is a prime location to explore the beauty of southeastern Utah. Only 45 minutes away from Canyonlands National Park, Arches, and Moab.

This is a Hotel and we have several of these Rooms throughout the Property all with different views and locations. The photos give a general description of all the rooms and furnishings. Located in the main house, this is a queen bedroom with private DETACHED bathroom a few feet down the hall. A chorus of birds just outside the window make starting each day in this room a true joy. Located on the main floor of the Inn, this room is a delight with its berry-touched southwestern décor and the grand views of Parriott and Adobe mesa. Please note that the Chinle Room has a full private bathroom that is located a few feet outside the room in the hall way.
