Perched on a hill above the N. Toe River at the end of the road you’ll find Dougs Way, a modern cabin with huge picture windows that frame long range mountain views as if it were art. Surrounded by old oaks and loblolly pines, the property is quiet and never cookie cutter. You’ll love the Japanese soaking tub, two-sided fireplace, gourmet kitchen, robust coffee/tea setup, and the true craftsmanship found in the artwork and handmade details like the bent cherrywood “cloud” above the dining table!

Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

We are minutes from quaint downtown Burnsville and all the conveniences you would need. Sit on the porch while listening to the creek or explore the nearby attractions such as waterfalls, hikes, state parks, fishing, and many more. Only 10 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway with Beautiful Overlooks and Hiking.. A BEARY RELAXING Cabin is located a 1/2 mile from the Toe River for fishing and kayaking. The Penland School of Crafts is 3 miles away and the beauty of the campus can not be beat. We are halfway between Boone and Asheville for all that these two towns offer.
