"Anglesey House" Iconic Forbes CBD Heritage Home

"Anglesey House" a two storey, Late Victorian home built in 1884 in the CBD. A wealthy merchant from Anglesey in Wales, loaded two ships with finery that could not be obtained in Australia at the time. William Thomas built Anglesey House with it's seven marble fireplaces, cedar staircase, high and ornate ceilings and sandstone stables in the back garden. Although built in 1884 Anglesey has all of the facilities that are expected in a modern home. More history available in the guest guide.

Lonsdale is a spacious, comfortable, country guesthouse that provides accommodation for up to two people. The guesthouse was built in 2018 next to Willowcroft cottage (circa 1900). Set on 3 acres & 2.4kms from town centre. Enjoy a beautiul garden, sunsets and maybe a drink around the fire pit (small charge for wood) during autumn/winter. * Breakfast is not provided. So BYO!
