We're a Dutch couple whose lodge is nestled in the mountains of Madarao in Japan. Our lodge provides capacity for a max of 20 guests divided over 5 units. Our cozy, comfortable space makes for a great base to explore the mountains around the region. During winter, we offer private ski/snowboarding lessons, and side and backcountry guiding. We cater to guests during all other seasons too and offer fine dining experiences during your stay. We aim to create the perfect vacation experience for you!

Japan Alpine Guesthouse, hotspring, & music space.

Cozy alpine guesthouse cabins with in-house natural hotspring baths in the forested highlands of Japan's epic 3000m Nagano Alps, offering the closest possible accommodation to the "Roof of Japan" - the Alpine Route and Takase hiking treks. Hakuba ski resorts start 15 minutes away. We also have a compact music studio in the main lodge with guitars, bass, keyboard and electronic drum kit - suitable for a small group of musicians with space for 3 to 4 players and 6 to 8 intimate audience seats.

Hakuba Powder Mountain has an unsurpassed ski-in/ski-out location. Just 1 minute access to Hakuba Happo-one ski lift. In 2019, we are happy to inform you that we have renovated our lodge and all suites are brand new! King or Twin Superior

This room is a Japanese Tatami room with western beds. The room is a south east facing room with great sunlight throughout the day. The beds can be set up as 2 x single beds or 1 King size bed. Extra futons can be added with up to 3 people able to stay comfortably. Extra costs per person for larger groups. Room includes: Buffet breakfast, Free wifi, 1 king or 2 single Beds plus extra futons if needed, sun room area, tissues, bedside table, bedside lamp, bath towels, heater.

Our place is located near by a quiet forest in the area of National Park, and you will see the panoramatic view of Mt.Myoko and Mt.Kurohime from here. There are numerous hot springs and the famous tourist spots which are called Imori Pond and Naena Falls that are representing Myokokogen. Also, there are many unique ski resorts that are rich in density so you’ll be able to have a lot choice for your winter activities depends on your mood and the snow conditions of the day.

If you would like to dine, please place your order directly at the restaurant. ★ Direct access to the slopes of "Romance no Kamisama" Ski Resort! ★ The accommodation fee is for one twin-bed room. ★ The basic rate is for up to 2 guests per room. ★ For 3 guests per room, an additional charge applies. ★ Additional guests will be provided with futons instead of beds. ★ Free parking is available.
