Rural cabin at off-grid former railway cottage

Crossing Cottage is an off-grid former railway cottage on the now dismantled Lynn to Fakenham railway line, operating between 1880 and 1959 - now a private home and smallholding. In a private section of garden is the cabin with separate gated entrance and off-road parking. The cabin has a king sized bed, a cozy log burning stove, seating and dining area, outdoor cooking facilities with a BBQ, and a separate shower/toilet/washing-up block with hot water and a fridge.

In the beating heart of Great Massingham, this cozy cottage once formed part of the Old Swan, an 18th-century pub. Known as the Old Swan Cottage and sleeping up to six, it blends history and comfort with exposed beams, a wood-burner, and a light-filled ‘greenhouse’ entrance. Lovingly maintained and well-equipped, it’s the perfect base for exploring the Norfolk countryside while enjoying village life.
