Built in 1840 as a mill workers’ cottage, it has been renovated to include a log burner and air source heating. Perfect for walkers and wildlife watchers, it is a get-away-from-it-all experience. Shearwater is a typically cute Cornish cottage with one of the best views around. If you like boats and water you'll love Shearwater, actually, you'll love Shearwater anyway. Situated a stone's throw from Port Navas creek it has its own mooring making it the perfect base for exploring the river. Either bring your kayaks with you, or, there are plenty of places to hire them locally. If you're not feeling adventurous just sit back, relax and watch the kingfisher on the river.

Cosy Studio Barn Close to the Coast

Bian Mor is a bright, airy barn conversion in a small farm complex which formerly belonged to the National Trust. The farmhouse dates from the 1650s and the barns from the 19th century. The garden affords fabulous ocean views, and is a sun trap on bright days. There is a gentle 10-15 minute walk through woodland to the nearest beach, which is on the South West Coast Path, and it is possible to walk to Falmouth or Helford Passage along the coast.
