It was part of the "Sims Settlement" and was defended during the War of 1812 by James and William Slaughter. Settlers farmed the fertile land near Indian Creek, now called the Indian Creek Greenway - 4 mins away.

The Legacy Suite

Enjoy a modern in‑law suite in South Huntsville. The suite occupies the entire basement floor with no shared interior spaces and a private entrance. My family lives on the main floor. The space is cozy, comfortable, and close to shopping, restaurants, parks, and entertainment—great for work or relaxation. We have two friendly dogs upstairs who do not access the suite, but if you fear dogs, this may not be the best fit.
