Ideal rural retreat for anyone and everyone! This cosy wooden cabin is a simply lovely place to stop and unwind. Set near to a small Sussex village with direct access onto the South Downs, Iford is on the wild fringes of historic Lewes (2 miles), vibrant Brighton (7 miles) and Newhaven ferry and beach (6 miles). Being close to a road the sound of traffic is audible. If you are walking the South Downs Way and want to book for one night only please contact me, we may be able to accommodate you.

Directly on the East Sussex coastal path with the nearest beach access only 5 minutes walk, also a short stroll into the beautiful South Downs National Park.

There is a rear private deck with seating. Ideal for romantic escapes or active holidays. Enjoy the outdoors by foot & bike direct from the cabin. The local pub & village shop are just 10 minutes walk. Perfect for Glyndebourne, Charleston & Firle weddings or explore nearby towns of Lewes or Brighton.

The Garden Room, Warblers, Kingston Road, Lewes

The Garden Room is bright and spacious with lovely views to the south across the Lewes Brooks. There is a well equipped kitchen area, and you have your own front door. Coffee, tea, milk and some breakfast provisions will be waiting for you for your first morning. We are close to Lewes but with open fields nearby. It is a ten minute walk to a pub, for local beer and food. There is space nearby for a small car to park; larger vehicles can park about 20m from our driveway, on the Kingston Road.

The Tin Cabin

"The Tin Cabin" is a beautiful space set in a peaceful location nestled at the foot of the South Downs, in the quiet Hamlet of Swanborough. It was lovingly built from scratch in the garden of our farmhouse in 2020. It provides the perfect spot to rest and relax after a day exploring the historic county town of Lewes (just a 10 minute drive away) or walking/cycling the South Downs Way. The Juggs, a traditional local pub is in the neighbouring village of Kingston, just a 15 minute walk.

Easy access to walks and bike rides on the South Downs, to Lewes and neighbouring villages. Peaceful and pretty private garden with fire pit and sitting areas to enjoy.

Beautiful barn on the South Downs Way

Beautiful barn, perfect for walkers, also great as a comfortable and spacious base for exploring the local countryside. Local cultural attractions include Glyndebourne, Drusilla's Park, South Downs Way. This spacious artist's home is located right on the South Downs Way, and it is only about an hour and a half walk to the coast at Exceat. There is a tree house for kids, a couple of swing seats for chilling out on, and the Cuckmere runs through the bottom of the garden.

Garden Huts B&B offer a unique place to stay for walkers, cyclists and those exploring the local area. Located in the picturesque village of Rodmell close to the South Downs Way and the home of Virginia Woolf. 'Ouseside' Shepherds hut is luxury glamping with everything under one roof including a shower and loo! It has a fully equipped kitchen area with a two ring gas hob and small gas fridge. Coes Farm offers 50 acres of absolute tranquillity in amongst nature, with a bit of luxury thrown in too! We have formal gardens and ornamental ponds, a large lake, plenty of woodland, open fields, an indoor saltwater swimming pool with hot tub, a tennis court and a games room which is resident in our Micro-Winery! We planted our 5 acre vineyard in Spring 2021 and extended the existing Orchard with cider varieties in 2023.
