The hut is beside a canopy of mature beech trees and on some days the nesting kites will give aerial displays to lift one’s spirits . At night the sky scape is uninterrupted and the stars can almost touch you The dawn breaks over your deck and the setting sun gives you witness to the splendour of the nature surrounding you.

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.
