The house stands on 80 hectares of ground where you'll find beautiful views, scenic hiking trails, and spectacular natural beauty and tranquility all around, all year around. There is access to a private beach with private road to it. The area is sensitive in the summer time because of eider birds and needs to be treated carefully and with respect. This old cozy house in the old part of Súðavík was originally the post office for the town and the home of the postmaster and his family. It has now been renovated and changed into a summerhouse. It is well located with a short walking distance to the local playground, the harbor and The Arctic Fox Centre. It only takes about 15 minutes to drive over to Ísafjörður, the "capital" of the Westfjords, where you can find grocery stores, a bakery, banks, gift shops and restaurants.
