This cozy log-cabin was built by hand in 1929 and remains a living work of art. Located in the rolling hills of Homer, just 20 min. from Downtown, this stunning old homestead offers an authentic Alaskan experience with mountain views! Accommodations: 3 beds (1 Queen, 2 Twins), a full kitchen w/running water, modern Toyo heater and wood stove, a tidy outhouse, and a genuine Nordic Spa (sauna/coldplunge). Staying here offers glorious sunrises over Kachemak Bay. With a surprising amount of privacy for only being 5 minutes from the spit. Spend the evening with a fire as you gaze across at Grewingk Glacier, or take a stroll on the beach below the bluff, Although the beach has limited access, and would prove difficult for some, the beach does offer fossils and a adventurous little hike. There is a separate cabin that is rented on the property. Please inquire if you’d like to rent both.

It sits in the trees, 30 feet from the beach, overlooking the water and Yukon Island. This is a remote island property and can only be accessed by boat. We provide water taxi transport with True North Kayak Adventures. Pricing is $85/adult and $75/12 and under, round trip. Kayak and SUP trips are also available as well as rentals.
