This is a unique rustic cabin on a private dirt road nestled on a mountain brook in the forest adjoining the Giant Mountain Wilderness Area. This small (200 sq ft + 80 sq ft sleeping loft), Adirondack style cabin was completely refurbished this past year using locally sourced woods and built by hand. Located two miles from downtown Keene Valley, and at 1800 feet, this is an ideal place for those who prefer the quiet forest, the peaceful sound of a mountain brook, and possibily seeing animals.

Fountains Cabin

This basic cabin is centrally located on Rt 73 close to climbing cliffs and trailheads. With a private setting in the woods it offers a great base for your Adirondack adventures. Please note that this accommodation will be a „GLAMPING“ experience. The cabin HAS NO SHOWER and a limited supply of 5 gallons of water. It is not impervious to the outdoors. Although the cabin is regularly cleaned thoroughly there will be the occasional bug or spider crawling along minding its own business.

Hikers feel at home amidst the mountaineering history reflected in the books and in the photos and paintings on the walls. The cabin is eco-friendly throughout: organic sheets and towels, wool blankets, wool rugs, green soaps and cleaning products, mini-splits, energy-saving lighting.

Year round camp located in beautiful Elizabethtown NY, " Gateway to the Adirondacks". 20 miles from Whiteface mountain, 25 miles from Lake Placid, 10 miles from Lake Champlain. The camp is heated by a gas fireplace and, is plenty warm year round . From December 1st to the beginning of April you will need an all wheel drive vehicle to access the camp.
