There is car parking and bike storage and is only a short walk from Stocksfield rail station and bus routes. Great base for trips to Hadrian’s Wall, historic properties, Northumberland National Park and the nearby towns of Corbridge and Hexham. A hamper of breakfast goodies is provided.

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Evenings are all about stargazing with the telescope and toasting marshmallows by the firepit. Set in the North Pennines AONB, you have walking trails and fishing on the doorstep and many adventures beyond.

Jessie's Hut

Set on a working sheep farm, Jessie’s Hut offers a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format --- we charge an additional £10 per night for the bunk, this is added automatically when you book for 3 people. There is a shower room and a kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Fully insulated with central heating the hut is cosy warm at any time of year. Nearby:- Beamish Museum (must see!!), Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Mining Museum, Metro Centre.

The Barn East Salmons Well, Hexham, Northumberland

South facing rustic stone built barn conversion for 4 people close to Acomb village within the Dark Sky National Park. A private garden from which to enjoy stunning views and stargaze. Hadrian's Wall, Hexham market town, country walks, cycle routes and village pubs all a stones throw from the doorstep. The Michelin Star restaurant,Pines is 10 mins away. South facing with stone walled garden, from which you can survey a spectacular view 20 miles deep and 35 miles wide over the Tyne valley. The cottage is at 700 feet above sea level and you feel you are on the roof of England. It is situated in a quiet rural location 2 miles from both Hexham and Corbridge and half an hour from Newcastle.
