Keep it simple at this peaceful cabin in the woods on County Rd 550! Just steps away from the legendary Phil's 550 Store and 3 miles from downtown Marquette. This stunning single bedroom property can sleep up to 4 guests, with 1 queen bed and a memory foam sofa bed in the living space. We have two cabins available for a total of 8 guests, rent them both!. Da Knob on Lake Independence

Enjoy beautiful Lake Independence 25-30 miles NW of Marquette, MI with a 3-bedroom lake cottage right on the southside of the lake with a sandy beach (217 ft) and dock. Pontoon not included, but there is an open boat slip on our dock (mid-June through mid-October). 2 kayaks are included. Some of the best UTV and snowmobiling trails along with backcountry snowmobiling in the U.P. are right in your backdoor. Fish for walleye, perch, pike, and bass on Lake Independence in the summer or winter!

Little Tree

Historic woodland cabin, with access to Lake Independence (2min walk). Canoe, kayaks and rowboats available to borrow for exploring the lake. Located 2 miles before Big Bay, the cabin offers access to limitless outdoor activities. Fiber optic internet is provided. The cabin is directly across the road from the ATV/Snowmobile trails. We have been hosting guests in the local community for over 50 years, so we can always help make your U.P. adventures pleasant. Cabin is close to the road.

You will think of this 3 bedroom 2 bath house on the lake as your home away from home. Summer brings water sports, grilling and eating on the deck and enjoying sunsets over the lake. Winter months include accessing snowmobile trails from your front door, nearby downhill and cross country ski venues and snowshoeing. Curl up by a crackling fire at days end. Spring brings day trips to beautiful waterfalls. Fall brings hunting to mind. Plenty of wooded areas for bird and deer hunting.

Recently renovated, this house sits on Lake Independence with private water access (no dock), peaceful views and gorgeous sunsets. Perkins Park boat launch is just across the bay giving you easy access for any desired water sports. Just blocks away from Lake Superior and its gorgeous beaches you truly have the best of both worlds of both an inland and Great lake.

Yellow Dog Yurt - Peace and Quiet near Marquette

Located 25 minutes north of Marquette, our yurt is simple and rustic without electricity and a woodstove is the only heat source. We provide bedding, water in buckets, a simple kitchen, a battery pack for string lights, and a sauna for warming the bones. We encourage and cater to silent-sport type of guests as we have kind and close neighbors on all sides. No shooting, loud off road vehicles, etc. are permitted. - Wood heat only - Outhouse toilet - Limited parking

This is a small log cabin located approximately 10 miles from downtown Marquette in a quiet neighborhood. Its nestled in the woods where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest but is still in close proximity to hiking, biking, cross country ski trails, and Marquette Mountain for downhill skiing and all Marquette has to offer. It is approximately 3 miles from the snowmobile trail and can be accessed using Green Garden Road. A very easy ride to the trail.
