That was the point when it, and a handful of others, were built in the mid 1960’s to showcase Northern California’s famed Sea Ranch project —and the way humans might one day find a better way to live with nature.

Our peaceful cottage is nestled among the redwoods, a few miles inland from the Mendocino Coast. High ceilings and skylights make this space feel spacious, offering natural light, and views of the majestic trees. The surrounding community is special, with many residents having lived here for decades, tending their homesteads. On your way in, you are likely to see cattle, horses, pigs, and chickens. Deer, coyote, foxes, mountain lions, owls, hawks, vultures, and bears also frequent the area.

The cabin has 2 bedrooms, and sleeps up to 4 people. It has redwood beams, vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and a private deck. The cabin and home where the host lives is on a private road, with pond, fruit orchard, and 1/4 mile walking trail to the seasonal fantastic 100 foot waterfall lookout.
