YurtCation

YurtCation is an off-grid getaway with lake frontage and nature trails. There is another yurt about 300ft up the same driveway. There are a total of two yurts and two homes that have access to the same 17 acre lake. Each yurt has their own queen-sized comfy bed, wood stove, Weber grill w/charcoal, fire pit, firewood, fresh water, canoe, and clean Porto Potty. The yurts are about 80 feet from the lake’s ordinary high water mark to comply with zoning. We are fully permitted and have many repeats.

The circular structure offers an amazing view of the surroundings, with peaceful sounds of rustling leaves, chirping birds, and a flowing river below. The cozy dome has a queen size bed, night stands, a seating area, mini fridge, and a k-cup coffee maker & heater/ac. At night, the starry sky and nature's sounds lull you to sleep. Waking up, you feel refreshed, and the peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views leave a lasting impression.

Enjoy a drink while sitting in the living room, looking out over Monona Bay & the Capital. What is better?--the view, or your proximity to downtown, UW campus, & the Alliant Center? Welcome to our home! We have upgraded our Garden (lower) Level to host travelers much like ourselves and long-term guests. The view of our backyard is incredible! You will find yourself lost in the country, yet less than ten minutes from all the excitement that Madison has to offer. Along with a private drive and entrance, you will have 1,000 square feet of comfort all to yourselves. This property is perfect for a quiet getaway we all need from time to time.
