We are located centrally within the wonderful village of Lyndhurst, often referred to as the 'Capital of the New Forest'. Situated in the grounds of an impressive country house, the Goat Shed is the stylishly renovated ground floor of a 19th century barn, with a kingsize four poster bed, claw foot bath and woodburning stove. Deer roam through the gardens, and our wood burning stove makes nights in perfectly cosy. A great spot from which to explore the forest, or simply relax in comfort.

Walking and cycle routes (and a popular pub) can be reached in moments, local amenities are within walking distance in the forest’s capital Lyndhurst and sandy beaches are a short drive away. Private parking is available.

The cosy cottage has been recently renovated, and has lovely light rooms with plenty of period features. It's in a quiet location, with easy access to the amazing New Forest countryside, as well as being close to the amenities in Lyndhurst - including pubs, tea rooms, gift shops, restaurants, takeaways, bus tours and the New Forest visitor centre. A really great location for a holiday.
