If you love rich history, and privacy then you will love this peaceful oasis. As soon as you pull into the main property entrance, you will naturally leave the world behind. You will take a right by the Hope sign and come upon this adorable one bedroom cottage. You will enjoy this newly remodeled home. It features a wrap around porch, deck with grill and it’s own personal lavender garden by the fire pit. It is peaceful and cozy.

The Cabin is a luxurious rural escape, with a 3-person hot tub. Located on a permaculture homestead and native plant sanctuary, the space overlooks the garden and is surrounded by forest. Natural/local materials were used throughout (built in 2023). Your group will enjoy easy access to everything the City and Southwestern Virginia has to offer from this centrally located, spacious house. You will be within walking distance of Uptown, the Dick & Willie Trail, and the Virginia Museum of Natural History. This historic home was one of three homes built by the Simmons family. Dick Simmons, president of American Furniture Company built and lived in this home.

We are located less than two miles away from Magnum Point Marina at Smith Mountain Lake if you want to add some lake time to your vacation stay.
