焚き火・BBQ・滝サウナでゆったり過ごす、築150年の古民家「羽休めの里（はやすめのさと）」

中央自動車道都留ICから5分。都留市駅からタクシーで10分。周囲を閑静な里山に囲まれた場所に佇む築150年の古民家です。建築時期は江戸時代後期。到着されたらぜひ、館内の天井を見上げてみてください。手斧を使い、丸太から人の手で削り出した梁に気付かれると思います。 ここは、かつて「羽休庄 (はやすみのしょう)」 と呼ばれた地域。都留市は富士山の伏流水が豊富な水の都。庭に、夏狩地区から峠を越えて引水する滝があります。焚き火スペースの地面には、江戸時代に建設された谷村大堰の分水を司った、溶岩を加工した遺跡が埋め込まれています。 滝を眺めながら、焚き火とBBQ、晴天時は星空をお楽しみ頂けます。清流の音、焚き火の炎、木がはぜる音が織りなす1/fゆらぎの空間にて、ゆっくりと羽を休めてください。 この施設は、郡内（東部・富士五湖地域）に居住する有志が集まり、活動を行う「NPO持続可能な郡内地域づくり研究会」が運営主体です。管理は小菅村・道志村で森林資源活用を行う、株式会社リトル・トリーが実施しています。

2024年7月にデザイナーによるリフォームをした、山中湖から徒歩11分の別荘地にある 「プライベートリゾート 富士」 という一日一組限定の宿です。 延床面積115㎡、3LDK のログハウスを基調とした和モダンデザイン一軒家で、 ２階にあがると、リビングの窓から大きな富士山を望むことができ、富士山をバックに大きなバルコニーでBBQをしたり、木々に囲まれたバレルサウナを満喫した後には、そのまま外の休憩スペースで森林浴をしたりと、していただけます。庭には、大きな焚き火台があり、火を囲んで語らうこともできます。また、庭には高めの柵を設置しているため、愛犬を連れてきても逃げてしまう心配はございません。 部屋には90インチの大型スクリーンがあり、Prime Video、Youtube などが楽しめます。夜には、条件が良ければ満天の星空も見ることができます。
