An ideal spot from which to plan your excursions: head west to Galway City (23km); or southwest via Kinvara (24km) to the Burren (43km); and then to the Cliffs of Moher (70km). Or, go east to Loughrea (19km) where there's safe summer lake swimming.

Beautiful shepherds hut powered by solar for an off grid experience along the Wild Atlantic Way situated on Connemara farm land located 20 minutes from Galway city and 10 minutes from Oughterard and Lough Corrib. Sleeps 3 with a double bed and a single bed. Kitchenette with running water and gas hob, separate fire pit/BBQ area and outhouse with toilet, sink and heated shower. There is a small wood burning stove in the Shepherds hut with kindling provided. Towels and bedding are also provided.

There is one dog living here. See how eggs, honey, fruit and vegetables are being produced. 2km from Kilmacduagh Abbey, 10km to the seaside village of Kinvara Fantastic location for walks and road trips along the Wild Atlantic Way. The "Roost" has a fully equipped kitchenette, private bathroom and fiber internet .
