Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. 当コテージは清流、円原川のほとりにあります。 岐阜といえば白川郷や飛騨高山が有名ですが、円原も山奥で不便な場所ではありますが素敵です。 山と川の景観が美しく、猿や鹿が出没するような自然豊かな場所です。 円原川は日本一美しい伏流水、光芒の名所として注目されており、宿は伏流水の湧き水ポイントから８００ｍ程の場所に位置していますので水の透明度は抜群です。 光芒も宿から見ることが出来ます。 夏の朝、気象条件により木々の間から太陽の光が降り注ぐ幻想的な景色を見られます。 円原川の水は冷たいですが、夏に子供たちは元気に川遊びしています。 河原は気温が随分下がるので、猛暑を逃れ涼む人も。 少し下流にいくと川遊びスポットがいくつかあり、どこも水が透き通っていて美しく泳ぐのが気持ち良いです。 川の水は少し深いところではエメラルドグリーンに輝き、岩と苔の景観も素晴らしく、心が浄化されるような癒しスポットです。 宿の2階に川に面したデッキがあるので、川を眺めながらBBQしたり、川のせせらぎを聴きながらハンモックに揺られたり、テントサウナでリフレッシュしたり日常を忘れてのんびりできます。

To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

Just 6 minutes by walk from subway Imadegawa station. You can walk to imperial palace in 10 minutes. You can stay like you live in Kyoto. We have wooden bath with small garden view. There are wooden deck besides living space, you will have relaxing time at the wooden deck with garden view. Electric bikes are rent for free.
