Winter: Park at ski shop. Ski in/out cabin is ON the trail system. Private, cozy, fully equipped cabin at Garnet Hill in the ADK forest. Gas fireplace, grill and screened in porch. Steps from hiking trailheads. Access (not lakefront) to protected 13th Lake with sandy beach. Two one-seat kayaks come with the rental. Boating at Indian Lake Marina is 7 minutes away. Snowmobile/cross country ski right from home. Downhill skiing is 20 minutes away at Gore or Oak MT. White water rafting nearby on the Hudson River with guide services available right in town Hike, boat, hunt, motorcycle or bike right from your front door.

Want a spectacular place near Gore? Stay in North River, a quiet sanctuary in the Adirondack State Park, a short walk from Garnet Hill Lodge and only a 20 minute drive to Gore. Enjoy activities without ever getting into a car: walk to the lake to beach and dock. XCSki in/out from our door onto miles of well maintained forest trails! Rentals are available at Garnet Hill Lodge, up the hill, famous for its extensive system of x-country ski trails. Unfortunately we’re not able to host pets.
