Secluded Off-Grid Mountain Cottage

Private stand-alone cottage on a beautiful farm 1.5 hours north of Cape town and 30-40 minutes from Elands Bay. This is a very simple, off-grid, self-catering cottage with beautiful mountain views, a dam to swim in and hiking access to the entire 2000 hectare farm. The farm has established hiking and mountain biking trails, horse riding on request and established sport and trad rock climbing routes. The cottage has two fireplaces, a gas stove, fridge, a 'donkey' water heater and solar power.

Self catering cottage on cattle farm 12.5km from historic Graaff-Reinet. Wildlife&scenery ideal for mtb biking, walking, birdwatching, photography. BBQ under nightsky in firepit or on terrace. Dbl bed, shower, sitting room with kitchen, wifi, aircon. NB THE AIRCONS ARE PROVIDED FOR COOLING THE HOUSES IN THE HOT SUMMER MONTHS BETWEEN OCTOBER AND APRIL, NOT FOR HEATING AS THE FARM IS ON SOLAR. Electric blankets, blankets, duvets, hot water bottles are provided and each house has a fireplace.

Situated within walking distance from town, the location is ideal for all travellers. The two-storey house has 3 spacious en-suite bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen (scullery with dishwasher+washing machine), outdoor BBQ, hot tub and indoor fireplace. Pet friendly.
