Escape to "The McKenzie Zen Den", a luxury waterfront river cabin. One of the few rare properties built on the banks of the McKenzie River, so close you can fish from the deck! The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.

Heartland Treehouse is perched between two massive fir trees overlooking a steep river canyon. Sounds of a nearby waterfall will soothe you to bed at night and gently wake you in the morning. My home is a short walk or drive away and I will be happy to help guide your adventure on Oregon's South Coast.
