A dream came true when friends invested in creating a cottage on my family's farmland. Local is the theme, it is in the building vernacular, the tradesmen who built it, the bamboo and wood that hold it together, the surrounding edible landscape. It's rustic luxury. Our location is in a true Balinese village. It is away from the crowd and away from night life. The Balinese culture focused on rituals and ceremonies. The village temple and the banjar within walking distance is the center of our village community where you could see important activities many times in a year. On important holidays, the ceremony leads to procession passing through our street. You would feel more connected to Balinese culture as our village is not a tourist oriented place.
