Casa Alang Alang

Built with materials from Indonesia and boasting views of the ocean in two directions, Casa Alang Alang is the perfect marriage of relaxed Balinese style and unforgettable Costa Rican scenery. Built atop a hill near the Tamarindo estuary, the property has views along Playa Grande—including vistas of the sunset over the Pacific—and a location a short walk from the beach and town. Seven suite-style bedrooms, including one in a guest house, make the expansive villa feel like your own private beach resort. At Casa Alang Alang, wake up each day and enjoy a breakfast that’s already been prepared before stepping outside and deciding which of the two pools will be your first swim of the day. Just next to the sitting area, the generous ironwood dining table seats everyone in wicker chairs. The fully equipped kitchen is open to the rest of the space, but a separate walk-in pantry allows for storage and prep work. If the beach views aren’t enough and you need to put your toes in the sand, it’s a 5-minute walk from the villa to Pangas Beach Club and the town center.
