Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. You can also enjoy a campfire and cook over the open fire on our tripod grill. We have 2 other cabins and our cozy apartment listed.

We've raised a big family and now have several empty bedrooms in one end of our home. There are 3 bedrooms and 4 beds (2 king beds and 1 twin….also a fold up twin mattress for floor) a bathroom and a living room area. It's not fancy but clean and comfortable. . Breakfast is an option if I'm available and is requested ahead of time. We’re across the street from Lake Manitou. We’re also close to 2 golf courses. We are just a few miles from H.way 31.
