It has natural wood throughout, with three bedrooms, two baths, a fully stocked kitchen and pantry, decks, new beds and linens, a propane grill and backyard. If you would like to spend some time among the redwoods, this is the place -- the small village of Shively. It is near the Eel River for fishing, swimming or just enjoying laying in the warm sunshine. In just a short drive, you can be on the Avenue of the Giants, Founders Grove or Rockefeller Forest where you can view and/or hike among the beauty of the redwoods. Further north is the Victorian village of Ferndale, the ocean or Humboldt Bay.

My guest space is a small, private room (11x7, not incl bathroom) attached to the back of my house. The room has a private entrance off the backyard with an attached private bath. I offer keyless entry. Guests can enjoy the attached deck off the room and relax in a peaceful yard. The room is a burst of color to contrast with the gray days in Humboldt. The room is a short walk to the zoo and several restaurants. Old town is a quick drive.

Our centrally-located Arcata home is a clean, fresh and airy 2-bedrom cottage newly built in 2022 with vaulted ceilings, a well-designed layout, stylish and comfortable interior, and 2 private garden patios. The fenced little property is just 5 blocks from Arcata Plaza, shopping, and food as well as walking distance to CalPoly. Plenty of street parking on a quiet road. No pets. No smoking.
